According enthusiasts the ultimate Porsche 964.. after the extremely valuable RS that is. The 964 Carrera 2 Coupe that on behalf of the Bilstein chassis and original Cup wheels optically comes very close to the sporty RS, whilst in this light configuration she nearly offers the same driving characteristics. Acoustically the original Cup exhaust ensures you of the most fun 911. Exactly how the old man in Stuttgart had foreseen it at the time. In this case, with added power steering and airbags, ánd a tasty sunroof. The sporty chassis is a synonym for optimum handling and razor sharp steering, whilst comfort-wise she is still excellently suited for daily driving. For one who seriously knows his way behind the steering wheel and prefers the engine at the back, perhaps the one to get. This beautiful enthusiasts car remains damage free, and is, judging from the extensive history file perfectly maintained. The last owner had the car majorly serviced recently, he did not intend to part with the car, that was until he fell in love with my black 993 Turbo, between you and me... this one is nicer.
This 964 Carrera 2 is equipped with nice options; automatic climate control, electric sunroof, electric adjustable seat, a comfort seat on the drivers side, nicely suiting Becker radio/cd player with detachable front, class III alarm, airbags, etc.
Executed in one of the nicest colours seen on a 964, Midnight Blu Metallic. The name says it all, with low light nearly black, in sunlight a remarkable dark blue. The body is completely free from damages, not one stone chip can be seen. The car remains damage- and rust free. The plastic kick sills form a perfect fit with the coach. The in exterior colour carried out bumpers are free from parking scuffs or stone chips. A true enthusiasts car with an above average appearance equal to cars of a more recent date.
It is hard to imagine this interior dates back to 1991. It has the quality of a modern car of five years old. That can not be redone, not even by a recent one. The leather on the seats remains tight, there are no traces of getting in and out of the car, the bolsters and the lumbar support remain the excellent Porsche standard. The complete interior, from top to bottom, is nowhere visibly damaged. Also the in leather upholstered steering wheel, all switches and gauges are nicely readable, clean and function accordingly. Smells 'as new'...
Lovely clean and original engine compartment. Here one finds the 3,6ltr boxer engine from the second series as was fitted from may 1991. Visibly maintained well. Original stickers in the engine compartment are present. The luggage compartment likewise nicely original and undamaged. Tools, jack, space saver and compressor are neatly present. Also here nothing but factory stickers. The original Cup wheels are undamaged and the tires are as good as new.
This 964 was sold new in 1991 by a German Porsche dealer. In 2002 the car arrived in The Netherlands. Always dealer- and renowned Porsche specialist serviced. The last five years by one specialist of a certain name whom had to preserve every detail of the former owner in pristine condition. All invoices of the Dutch servicing are present, evidently all original books and spare keys are present as well. An above averagely nice and a true enthusiasts car.
